A mad hatters tea party at a half way house for drug addicts. Half the time on a trip. But then we knew that about Alice.
‘Alice’ transposes the classic Lewis Carroll tale to a teenage world devoid of law and order. Journey with Alice as she opens her eyes to a new awareness of life, with the menagerie which is her family, friends and lover. This modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice will not go unnoticed. Critical Stage Company, as ever, intend to provoke reaction with their original blend of music, controversial voice with movement and space as character. This occasion also marks their first appearance with the soulful folk duo Mouse.
Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe August 2000 in Greyfriar’s Kirkhouse
